Volleyball Recap: Mckinley Tech Falls Short Against Ranked Jackson-Reed

McKinley Tech faced Jackson-Reed in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Trainers fell 2-0 to the Tigers. If the Trainers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-10.

McKinley Tech's defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Jackson-Reed, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McKinley Tech will square off against rival Anacostia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jackson-Reed is set to face off against their familiar foe Bard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
