Basketball Game Preview: Cole Camp Blue Birds vs. La Monte Vikings

The Cole Camp Blue Birds will head out on the road to face off against the La Monte Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Tuesday, Cole Camp came up short against Northwest and fell 35-24. While losing is never fun, the Blue Birds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 458th, while the Mustangs are ranked 172nd).

Meanwhile, La Monte came up short against Green Ridge on Monday, falling 51-25. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Camp has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for La Monte, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Cole Camp didn't have too much breathing room in their game against La Monte in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 36-31 victory. Will Cole Camp repeat their success, or does La Monte have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
