Preview: Central vs. Lincoln
On Friday Central will take on Lincoln at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Central now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
If Central were riding high off their 25-0 takedown of Snyder two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Central took a 6-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Side.
Meanwhile, Lincoln were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past Nutley 48-16. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Lincoln's flat performance the matchup before.
Lincoln's win lifted them to 5-2 while Central's loss dropped them down to 3-4. In their win, Lincoln relied heavily on senior Jamar Casey, who rushed for 104 yards and 3 touchdowns. Central will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
