Softball Game Preview: Trumann Wildcats vs. Lonoke Jackrabbits

For the second straight game, Trumann will face off against Lonoke. The Wildcats will challenge the Jackrabbits at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Trumann has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Lonoke will arrive with three straight victories.

Trumann couldn't beat Lonoke on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Wildcats lost 17-5 to the Jackrabbits.

For Lonoke's part, they got a massive performance out of Kirsten Holt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave Holt a new career-high. Shaniya Jackson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

Lonoke hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.

Lonoke's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Trumann, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
