St. Patrick-St. Vincent made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bethel, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bruins put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 18-7 victory on Saturday. The Bruins' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Taylor Etchieson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, St. Patrick-St. Vincent got a massive performance out of Christina Thomsen, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Thomsen a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Gabriella Wida, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.
