Soccer Recap: Worth County Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Worth County has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Irwin County Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Irwin County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in February.

Worth County's goal came courtesy of Isabelle Hancock, who's now up to eight this season.

Worth County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Irwin County, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Worth County and Irwin County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Rams see the pitch they'll take on Echols County at 5:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Irwin County, their break will end when they face Macon County at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
