Baseball Game Preview: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Boise Brave

The Ridgevue Warhawks will head out to challenge the Boise Brave at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Boise took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridgevue, who comes in off a win.

Ridgevue took a 16-run loss the last time they faced off against Timberline, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warhawks skirted past the Wolves 8-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warhawks as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Elliot Jamison was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Zach Forster also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ridgevue was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Boise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Owyhee, falling 14-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Brave couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ridgevue now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Boise, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Ridgevue beat Boise 8-5 in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Do the Warhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Brave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
