Schaumburg had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 6-12 to make it four. They fell just short of the Buffalo Grove Bison by a score of 7-6. The Saxons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bison apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Madison Linnemann was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. Linnemann was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
