Soccer Game Preview: Sutter vs. Casa Roble

The Sutter Huskies will square off against the Casa Roble Rams at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.

Sutter managed to keep up with Rio Linda until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Sutter lost 5-0 to Rio Linda. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 930th, while the Knights are ranked 376th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Casa Roble). They beat El Camino by a goal, winning 3-2. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but the Rams were the better team in the second half.

Casa Roble's win bumped their record up to 3-8-2. As for Sutter, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Sutter took their victory against Casa Roble when the teams last played on January 8th by a conclusive 3-0. Will Sutter repeat their success, or does Casa Roble have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
