Baseball Recap: Octorara Area Comes Up Short

After flying high against J.P. McCaskey last Wednesday, Octorara Area came back down to earth. Octorara Area took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (11), the Braves still had to take the loss.

Aidan Marsh was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Brayden Remphrey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Octorara Area's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Octorara Area will host Solanco at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they will welcome Garden Spot at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
