Volleyball Recap: Chyenne Cox's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Imperial over El Capitan + How To Watch

After flying high against Calexico on Tuesday, Imperial came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Capitan Vaqueros on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

Imperial started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, 29-27.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chyenne Cox, who had 23 digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Penny Rosas, who had 13 assists and 11 digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Imperial fell to 3-1. As for El Capitan, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Imperial will take on Columbine in a tournament on Thursday. As for El Capitan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hilltop on the 22nd.
