Football Game Preview: Middleton vs. McEwen

Middleton have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on McEwen at 7:00 PM. Middleton are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

The match between Middleton and Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central two weeks ago was not a total blowout, but with Middleton falling 22-38, it was darn close. Middleton got a solid performance out of freshman Zyquavion Perry, who caught passes for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing 7 points in the contest before, McEwen made sure to put some points up on the board against Grace Christian Academy last Friday. Everything went McEwen's way against Grace Christian Academy as they made off with a 69-36 victory. McEwen were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

McEwen's win lifted them to 4-2 while Middleton's loss dropped them down to 1-4. We'll find out if McEwen can add another positive mark to their record or if Middleton can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of McEwen's step.
