James Buchanan had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 60-13 victory over the York County Tech Spartans. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Rockets had established a 40-point advantage.

Alex Brake had a dynamite game, rushing for 123 yards and four scores on only seven carries. Those 123 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Hunter Egli, who rushed for 63 yards and one TD.

Coming up, James Buchanan will face off against Susquenita at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Rockets their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for York County Tech, they will take on Kutztown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
