Vasquez piles up the points against Lancaster Baptist

The Vasquez Mustangs posted their biggest victory since November 30, 2023 on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 71-15 victory over Lancaster Baptist. With Vasquez ahead 39-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Among those leading the charge was Adam Wyganowski, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Oliver Gates, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Vasquez pushed their record up to 16-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for Lancaster Baptist, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vasquez will take on Trinity Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Classical Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 contests -- so hopefully Vasquez likes a good challenge. As for Lancaster Baptist, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Clarita Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Santa Clarita Christian is ranked 1253rd, while Lancaster Baptist is ranked 1240th).
