Softball Recap: Silver Stage Comes Up Short

Silver Stage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-2 to the Incline Highlanders. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Nighthawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Vivian Booth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Faith Chavez was another key player, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Even though they lost, Silver Stage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .538 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Silver Stage's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Incline, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-3.

Silver Stage will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oasis Academy at 4:00 p.m. on March 28th. As for Incline, they will host Pershing County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pershing County's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
