Volleyball Recap: Seminole Takes a Loss

Seminole was the 3-0 winner over Apopka when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Seminoles lost 3-0 to the Blue Darters on Tuesday.

While Seminole was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Apopka's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 28-26.

Nicholas Bryant paced Seminole's offense, picking up five kills. Bryant got some help from Sebastian Bryant and his seven assists. Finally, Anthony Olson kept Seminole's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Seminole dropped their record down to 10-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Apopka, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Seminole will challenge Oviedo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. After both having extra time off, Apopka and Windermere will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Darters are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
