Football Recap: Dexter Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

Dexter extended their postseason success on Friday against Carlson. They strolled past the Marauders with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. For the Dreadnaughts, this counts as revenge for the 27-23 victory the Marauders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Carlson lost, don't look at Izaiah Wright. Despite the final result, he rushed for 294 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Wright's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards. Trent Ison was another key player, rushing for 99 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries.

The win was the eighth in a row for Dexter, bringing their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.3 points over those games. As for Carlson, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 11-1.

Coming up, Dexter will challenge Groves at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Dreadnaughts will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. Carlson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
