Volleyball Recap: Methuen Beats Boston Latin Academy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Methuen had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against the Boston Latin Academy Dragons by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rangers also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2021.

The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 25-17.

Methuen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Giard, who had 21 kills, seven digs, and three blocks. Giard is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had five or more in each of the last 18 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Shawn LaDuke, who had 13 digs and one block.

Methuen's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Boston Latin Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Methuen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Central Catholic on the 12th. Boston Latin Academy has also already played their next game (against O'Bryant), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
