If Bruning-Davenport/Shickley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played High Plains, they should've done a better job of containing Brodey Spurling. The Storm managed a 49-43 win over the Eagles on Friday with plenty of help from Spurling, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least 16 points.

Kyler Hans was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Bruning-Davenport/Shickley lost, don't look at Levi Kamler. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards.

High Plains' record now sits at 13-10. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

High Plains has already played their next contest, a 67-60 defeat against Lawrence-Nelson on the 24th. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-50 victory against Meridian on the 20th.
