Baseball Recap: Batavia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Attica on Thursday, Batavia came back down to earth. Batavia fell just short of Brockport by a score of 4-3 on Friday. Batavia was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brockport apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Batavia dropped their record down to 11-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Brockport, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Batavia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 20-8 loss against Aquinas Institute on the 23rd. As for Brockport, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-5 defeat against Unatego on the 17th.
