Basketball Recap: Innovation Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-26, which was the final score in the Innovation Bulls's tilt against the Boone Braves on Friday. The Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Carlos Naranjo and Jadis Santamaria, who each put up seven points.

Leading Boone to victory were Makauri Massey and Will Cooley. Massey made all 5 shots he took for 11 points and three steals, while Cooley went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those 13 points gave Cooley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cohen Brubaker, who posted eight points.

Innovation's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Boone, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Innovation wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-39 loss against West Orange on the 21st. As for Boone, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-52 win against Lake Buena Vista on the 21st.
