Softball Preview: J.R. Tucker Tigers vs. Maggie Walker
After both having extra time off, the J.R. Tucker Tigers and Maggie Walker will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. J.R. Tucker hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.
J.R. Tucker came up short against Clover Hill last Thursday, falling 12-2.
J.R. Tucker saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Bryant, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Victoria Smith also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Maggie Walker never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hermitage last Wednesday. The dominant performance also gave Ramesh a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Jalise Melson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.
