Softball Recap: Carlmont Takes a Loss

If Carlmont was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Leigh on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scots took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Los Gatos Wildcats on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Scots in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Carlmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Wodarczyk, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Carlmont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Los Gatos, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Carlmont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 victory against Terra Nova on the 1st. As for Los Gatos, they have also already played their next match, a 2-2 tie against Leigh on the 29th.
