If Samueli Academy was riding high fresh off their 53-28 takedown of Calvary Chapel last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Samueli Academy Firewolves took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Segerstrom Jaguars on Friday. The Firewolves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Samueli Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Julian Chanelo, who posted ten points. Christian Coughlin was another key player, putting up nine points.

Samueli Academy now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Segerstrom, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-14.

Samueli Academy will head out on the road to face off against Newport Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Segerstrom, they will welcome Garden Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Garden Grove is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season.
