Baseball Recap: Hudson Falls Takes a Loss

Hudson Falls came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the South Glens Falls Bulldogs, falling 9-2. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Daniel Carpenter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Hudson Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for South Glens Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Hudson Falls will host Amsterdam at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for South Glens Falls, they are taking a road trip to take on Colonie Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.5, the Wolfpack 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
