It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Trinity Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on Lovett with a sharp 30-8 win. The result was nothing new for Trinity Christian, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Among those leading the charge was Ashton Clare, who threw for 175 yards and one TD, and also picked up 68 receiving yards.

The victory (which was Trinity Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 5-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Lovett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Trinity Christian will square off against Hebron Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian will need to watch out since Hebron Christian has now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. Lovett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
