The matchup between Three Rivers and Nixon-Smiley on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. Everything went the Three Rivers Bulldogs' way against the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs as the Three Rivers Bulldogs made off with a 13-6 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Three Rivers got a massive performance out of James Contreras, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that Contreras snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Carranza, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The victory was the third in a row for Three Rivers, bringing their record for this year to 8-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Nixon-Smiley, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Three Rivers will welcome Sabinal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nixon-Smiley, they will venture away from home to take on Stockdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nixon-Smiley has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
