Basketball Recap: Hammond Comes Up Short

Hammond suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 53-29 to the Ben Lippen Falcons. The Skyhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ben Lippen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laney McEntire, who posted 16 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. McEntire has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ariel Summons, who went 7-for-13 on her way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Hammond's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Ben Lippen, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-7.

As of now, neither Hammond nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
