Preview: Channing Eagles vs. Accelerate Christian Warriors
The Channing Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Accelerate Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-15, which was the final score in Channing's tilt against Silverton on November 14th. Channing was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-7.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Accelerate Christian had to settle for a 44-41 defeat against Miami on Tuesday. Accelerate Christian has not had much luck with Miami recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Audrey Jaramillo, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 steals. She scored a full 31.7% of Accelerate Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Danity Diaz, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 6 steals.
The losses dropped Channing to 0-2 and Silverton to 2-1.
