Football Recap: Davin Lemire Key Part of Team Effort in Spartans Win

Campbell won the last time they faced South Forsyth and things went their way on Friday too. The Spartans blew past the War Eagles 42-19. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Campbell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Davin Lemire led the charge by throwing for 276 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 62 yards on only six carries. Those 276 passing yards gave Lemire a new career-high. 134 of Lemire's passing yards were hauled in by Nick Buggs, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Campbell didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited South Forsyth to a completion percentage of just 47.4%. The Spartans weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 56%.

Campbell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Maddox West and Kosh Fort. West got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Campbell's record is now 2-0. As for South Forsyth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Campbell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-29 win against Etowah on the 29th. As for South Forsyth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-10 victory against Riverwood on the 29th.
