Baseball Recap: Bend Takes a Loss

Bend fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Caldera on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Caldera by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Lava Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cash Hattenhauer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Bend's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Caldera, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bend is set to square off against their familiar foe Redmond at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Caldera will take on rival Ridgeview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
