Recap: Thorsby Rebels vs. Chilton County Tigers
The Thorsby Rebels were the 65-59 winner over the Chilton County Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Thorsby was outmatched by Chilton County on the road and fell 56-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Thorsby has scored all season.
Leading Chilton County to victory were Justin Godwin and DJ Caffey. Godwin scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals, while Caffey scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Godwin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Bradin Yates was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.
Thorsby's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Chilton County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thorsby will take on Billingsley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Billingsley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday. As for Chilton County, they will be playing at home against Calera at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
