Softball Game Preview: Simmons Blue Devils vs. West Bolivar Eagles

Simmons has gone a perfect 3-0 against West Bolivar recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will take on the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Simmons has given up an average of 20.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Simmons lost 22-14 to O'Bannon on Wednesday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, West Bolivar got the win against Shaw on Thursday by a conclusive 17-5. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

West Bolivar's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Simmons, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Simmons got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against West Bolivar by a conclusive 23-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
