Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shaktoolik). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the James C Isabell Aklaqs 95-62. The Wolverines pushed the score to 80-53 by the end of the third, a deficit the Aklaqs had little chance of recovering from.

When it comes to explaining why James C Isabell lost, don't look at Ian Weyanna. Despite the final result, he posted 41 points. Another player making a difference was Brian Topkok, who put up 13 points.

Shaktoolik now has a winning record of 4-3. As for James C Isabell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Aniguiin the next time they take the court. Shaktoolik will head out to face Aniguiin at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th, while James C Isabell will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st.
