Basketball Recap: Cottage Comes Up Short

Cottage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Oak Mountain Academy Warriors and fell 72-17. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Davis Bradley, who posted six points. Another player making a difference was Maxwell Lagan, who scored eight points.

Cottage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Oak Mountain Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Cottage will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Oak Mountain Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-46 defeat against Holy Spirit Prep on the 21st.
