Baseball Game Preview: Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights vs. Muncy Indians

The Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Muncy Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neumann Regional Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Neumann Regional Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Sugar Valley Rural on Monday. The Golden Knights blew past the Phoenix 10-4. Considering the Golden Knights have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Andrew Walter made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Clark Bower was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Avery Taddeo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Muncy couldn't beat South Williamsport on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Indians lost 12-4 to the Mountaineers.

Neumann Regional Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Muncy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1.

Everything went Neumann Regional Academy's way against Muncy in their previous matchup back in March, as Neumann Regional Academy made off with a 10-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
