Recap: Boylan Catholic Titans vs. Lutheran Crusaders

The Boylan Catholic Titans were the 63-56 winner over the Lutheran Crusaders when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Boylan Catholic lost to Lutheran at home by a decisive 52-37 margin on Tuesday. Boylan Catholic has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Boylan Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaylee Harter, who scored 17 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harter has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lilian Esparza, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.

Boylan Catholic dropped their record down to 23-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lutheran, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

Boylan Catholic will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Harlem at 6:30 p.m. Boylan Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. Lutheran is on the road again on Thursday and plays Galena at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Galena will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Lutheran surely won't give up without a fight.
