Volleyball Recap: Westfield Comes Up Short

Westfield came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Longmeadow Lancers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-21, 25-13.

Caroline Croteau was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven aces and five digs. Those five digs gave her a new career-high.

Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Longmeadow, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Westfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Longmeadow, they will challenge East Longmeadow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
