If Calvary Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Paw Paw, they should've done a better job of containing Donavan Tanouye. The Paw Paw Pirates walked away with a 62-54 win over Calvary Christian Academy on Thursday thanks in part to Tanouye, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Paul, who posted four points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Calvary Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Geren Knight, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, Knight is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Riley O'Brien, who scored 12 points along with five boards and four steals.

Paw Paw's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Paw Paw didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-34 loss against Berkeley Springs on the 14th. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 59-57 defeat against Bishop Walsh on the 14th.
