Recap: Rancho Rams vs. Desert Oasis Diamondbacks
Make it eight blowout wins for the Rancho Rams this season. They were the clear victor by a 73-51 margin over Desert Oasis. The victory was nothing new for Rancho as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Rancho's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jakoi Lide led the charge by scoring 21 points along with five steals. Lide is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. R'Zha Whittle was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Rancho's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.6 points per game. As for Desert Oasis, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho will take on Canyon Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Desert Oasis, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 6:30 p.m.
