Soccer Recap: McFarland Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, McFarland was not quite Kennedy's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Kennedy Thunderbirds by a score of 1-0. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderbirds earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

McFarland now has a losing record at 8-9-2. As for Kennedy, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-4.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the McFarland face off against the Delano at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shafter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
