Recap: Melissa Cardinals vs. McKinney North Bulldogs
The Melissa Cardinals have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 59-27 loss at the hands of McKinney North on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Melissa in their matchups with McKinney North: they've now lost seven in a row.
McKinney North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaelyn Hamilton led the charge by scoring 22 points along with four steals. Hamilton hasn't dropped below 16 points for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Harris, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Melissa's defeat dropped their record down to 21-11. As for McKinney North, their win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-10.
Melissa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McKinney North also has no future games currently scheduled.
