Softball Game Preview: Ribault Trojans vs. Parker Braves

Ribault is 0-3 against Parker since March of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Ribault Trojans will face off against the Parker Braves at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Ribault is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Wolfson, falling 16-0.

Meanwhile, Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-1 to Stanton. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Parker saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aniyah Cherry, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. Cherry is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Hannah Goforth also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ribault, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Ribault might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Parker in their previous matchup back in February. Can Ribault avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
