St. Clair County won the last time they faced Clay-Chalkville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fighting Saints put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 8-1 win. The Fighting Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Bella Banks was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted over her last seven contests. Carman Garner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

St. Clair County's victory bumped their record up to 17-12-1. As for Clay-Chalkville, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Clair County will host Pinson Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.57 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Saints will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clay-Chalkville, they will face off against Shades Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
