Football Recap: Spring Woods Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Spring Woods lost against Galena Park back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 34-14.

Cary Clay continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Galena Park, rushing for 229 yards and two scores while picking up 14.3 yards per carry. Clay's longest rush was for an incredible 94 yards. Kendall Combs was another key player, throwing for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes.

Spring Woods now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Galena Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spring Woods is set to face off against their familiar foe Westbury at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Galena Park will square off against rival Waltrip at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
