Clint is 0-4 against Horizon since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Clint Lions will take on the Horizon Scorpions at 6:30 p.m. Clint is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Clint took on Deming on Saturday. Clint took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Deming.

Mario Pacheco and Abraham Medina did some serious damage despite the final result: Pacheco went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Medina scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Medina has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.
Horizon never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Monahans on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Loboes as they made off with a 17-5 victory. Considering the Scorpions have won three matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Horizon got a massive performance out of Axel Cardiel, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Damian Lopez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Horizon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.
Horizon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. Clint's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Clint has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .455. However, it's not like Horizon struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Clint suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Horizon in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Clint avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
