Basketball Recap: Carson Crowley Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Abbott

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Bremond on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 44-26 victory over the Abbott Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Bremond's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Crowley, who posted ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. Crowley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Dominic Williams was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Bremond smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

The victory got Bremond back to even at 2-2. As for Abbott, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bremond will square off against Somerville at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bremond is facing Somerville at the right time seeing as Somerville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Abbott and Evant will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
