Oakville's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Marquette Mustangs a 1-0 shutout. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Oakville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Marquette, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakville will take on Belleville East at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Marquette, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Chaminade at 4:30 p.m. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
