Basketball Recap: Glenn Comes Up Short

Glenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parkland Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-43 back in January.

Brock Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Parkland, dropping a double-double with 33 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Jackson a new career-high in rebounds. Quincy Rumph was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.

Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Parkland, their win bumped their record up to 7-16.

Glenn and Parkland could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Glenn will face off against West Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 387 places (407 vs. 20). Meanwhile, Parkland (ranked 328th) will meet Mount Tabor (ranked 23rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
