Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Upper St. Clair

Upper St. Clair won against Western Beaver last Thursday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Upper St. Clair walked away with a 6-3 win over the New Castle Hurricanes. The victory was just business as usual for the Panthers, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Brooklyn Kemp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits.

On the hitting side, Nora Stutzman was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Geneva Eisinger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Upper St. Clair was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Castle only posted a batting average of .200.

Upper St. Clair's record is now 3-0. As for New Castle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upper St. Clair will host Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Castle, they will be playing at home against Neshannock at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
